We are happy to announce that our 2024 biennial charity lapel pin is available for purchase at the DCSWCC online store! Joining a long line of cherished characters immortalized on exclusive pins, Ahsoka Tano in an action pose with her white lightsabers is shown in front of the Washington D.C. flag and skyline. Eleventh in the series of high-quality soft enamel and cloisonne pins, and officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped and numbered – only 300 will ever be made!
Proceeds benefit the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (www.taps.org). TAPS offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one who served in the United States Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
A limited quantity of the 2022 pin feature Grogu is also available.
DCSWCC has a rich history of supporting children’s and family charities in the Washington DC region. Their other charity pins featured Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Luke on his tauntaun, R2-D2, Commander Cody, BB-8, jedi Luke, and Grogu, and have raised over $40,000 for organizations including Children’s National Medical Center, The Children’s Inn at NIH, Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation, and House of Ruth.
